New Awards System for 21st Canberra International Riesling Challenge
The 21st Canberra International Riesling Challenge (CIRC) to be held 10-15 October 2022 will introduce a new awards system commencing with the 2022Challenge. Instead of the traditional medal system used by most wine shows, the CIRC will use a system based on the 100 point scale against which the wines are judged during the Challenge.

21st Canberra International Riesling Challenge Postponed until 2022
The Canberra International Riesling Challenge (CIRC) has been postponed from the planned October 2021 to October 2022 due to the continuing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the situations resulting from the Delta strain in NSW and other Australian and overseas jurisdictions.

ACT Government Supports the 2021 Canberra International Riesling Challenge
Recognizing the importance of the wine industry within the Canberra Region, and the status of the Canberra Region as one of the premier Riesling Regions in the world, the Canberra International Riesling Challenge has been supported by the ACT Government since its inception in 2000. The Canberra International Riesling Challenge welcomes the decision of the ACT Government to extend its support for the Challenge to include the 2021 Challenge.
